North West Golf Club has nurtured some talented golfers over the years, the most notable being our resident Professional, Brian McElhinney. You can read all about his accomplishments by clicking here. Junior members can avail of one-to-one coaching with Brian or enjoy group lessons. There are regular juvenile competitions for those with established handicaps and they are also encouraged to play in Club competitions/Inter club competitions.

North West has two Junior Convenors who assist Brian in the planning of events/competitions throughout the year, with support from other members. Everyone involved has attended the relevant Safeguarding courses & have Garda vetting documents. There are plans for a Youth Academy which would provide an exciting indoor coaching scenario regardless of the weather.
